The day everything stopped.

I was in a supermarket in Aberdeen 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

A grey Scottish winter afternoon.
And suddenly, I couldn't stand up anymore.

I collapsed in the frozen food aisle, doubled over in pain, unable to move.
I didn't know how I was going to make it home.

I cycled back — slowly, barely — and the moment I closed my front door, I collapsed on the floor.
Fully dressed. Too exhausted to move.
I stayed there for an hour, curled up, in silence.

That was my moment of truth.

I had moved to Scotland from France just months before.
I was working from home, alone, far from everything familiar.

My body was in revolt.
Chronic fatigue. Sleepless nights.
A nervous system that never switched off.
A mind that kept running long after I had nothing left to give.

I had given everything.
To my work. To others. To the move.
To surviving.

And I had kept nothing for myself.

I am trained in Neuropsychology, holistic and therapeutic approaches to wellbeing.
I knew, intellectually, what I needed.

But knowing and doing are two very different things when you're running on empty.

I needed something simple.
Something sensory.
Something that said: stop. breathe. you're safe.

The lavender came from memory.

Growing up in the south of France, lavender was everywhere.
In my grandmother's garden.
In the summer air.
In the colour of the fields stretching toward the horizon.

It meant: home. warmth. safety.

In the cold of a Scottish winter, thousands of miles from that garden, I needed to find that feeling again.

The Soleyria ritual was born from that floor.

A weighted and scented lavender eye pillow.
Not a sleep product.
Not a wellness gadget.

A signal to your nervous system that it's safe to rest now.
